BASIC LEVEL

Tutorial 1 (Basic level)
Starting point of EigerDB Zero+ programming
This tutorial presents basics in the field of Cortex-M0+ micro-controller architecture and how to start programming it. The architecture is presented in a light way with a lot of pictures. To enable programming a development board EigerDB Zero+ is presented together with iSystem winIDEA Open development environment. The program examples are written in C language and for this reason also basics of this language are presented. In micro-controller programming it is a must to be familiar with bit and logic operators. At the end of the tutorial a C object like macros and function-like macros are explained.
Tutorial 2 (Basic level)
Introduction into Programing Template
This tutorial presents basics programming template for the iSystem winIDEA Open development environment. To leave things simpler this tutorial is short and giving only the information needed for studying basic level examples. If additional knowledge is needed than it is advanced to look in Advanced level section below.
The empty and simplified template is attached to the pdf file.
Tutorial 3 (Basic level)
Use of General Purpose Inputs and Outputs (GPIO)
The knowledge about General purpose inputs and outputs (GPIO) gives us the ability to start interacting the micro-controller with the outer world. Besides introduction and theory 5 examples are shown, explained and also attached to the bought pdf file.
Tutorial 4 (Basic level)
Analog to Digital Converter (ADC)
One of the most useful capabilities of micro-controllers is also analog to digital conversion. It enables a transformation of an analog voltage to its digital representation. Besides ADC theory also 3 examples are shown, explained and also attached to this pdf file.
Tutorial 5 (Basic level)
Use of Timers and Counters
Micro-controllers are usually used for different tasks that need to be executed in defined time periods. To enable time dependent execution of certain task a special micro-controller module is available and it has quite interesting name: “Timer and Counter”. In this tutorial 2 examples are introduced, explained and attached.
Tutorial 6 (Basic level)
Introduction into interrupts
One of the most important knowledge when using micro-controllers is about interrupts. Interrupts can be generated by internal peripherals or by external signals. All available interrupts sources are explained in this basic tutorial. Besides also the pattern match engine is explained. We are proud to offer also 5 examples attached to the tutorial pdf!
Tutorial 7 (Basic level)
System tick timer (SysTick)
System Tick timer (SysTick) is a special timer that is part of the micro-controller core and it is available in all ARM Cortex micro-controllers. In this tutorial you gain the basic knowledge of the SysTick timer concept in addition explained with an attached example.

Tutorial 8 (Basic level)
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
Pulse width modulation or PWM is a process mostly used in communication systems for encoding the amplitude of a signal right into a pulse width or duration of another signal, usually a carrier signal, for transmission. It can also be called Pulse duration modulation (PDM). Apart from the field of this technique is widely used to control power supplied electrical devices, especially electrical motors and photovoltaic solar battery chargers.
Tutorial 9 (Basic level)
Windowed Watchdog Timer (WWDT)
The Windowed Watchdog Timer (WWDT) is a system supervisory circuit that generates a reset or other event when software anomalies are detected within a configurable critical window. In this tutorial you gain the basic knowledge of the WWDT concept in addition explained with an attached example.
More basic level tutorials will be introduced in 2018! From WatchDog, Power management, Real-time clock, USART etc.
ADVANCED LEVEL
Tutorial 1 (Advanced level)
Introduction Into Programming Template
This tutorial explains the C language programming template in details! This template is meant for iSystem winIDEA Open development environment. The document explains how the clock of peripheral units can be enabled, how the internal or external clock source for the CPU is selected, how the SysTick is initialized etc.
The presented document has a full winIDEA Open template attached.
More advanced level tutorials will be introduced in 2018! From detailed explanation of interrupts, PWM, I2C, USB, IAR etc.
